<itunes:summary>Darren is back just in time for a semi-festive show. We spend most of our time catching up on the last few months events and our respective holiday breaks but in the process we do touch on lots of games in-between our stories.
As I said last show do not expect Dans wonderfully detailed show notes every week, and this week serves only to reaffirm that declaration. I can tell you that you can expect us to talk about all the games we played recently, Red Dwarf, bad commercials, me pissing myself, me being taunted by hordes of nerds, the upcoming 2010 releases and our vacations. Unfortunately even with Darren back there is no Frakkers this show, but we do have some music and the return of Darrens Old Games.
Hopefully 2010 will mark a more regular schedule for The DoFuss Show as we stream line the formula, but we make no promises. Enjoy the show and keep an eye on the site this month for some gaming memories of the last ten years.
I am trying to get back in to oil painting, Darren insists on Twitpic updates so keep an eye on that if you care.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Okay, I have finally taken over the reigns of editing, which is why the latest podcast is a tad late. Think I have it all down though, so here’s hoping you won’t notice much of a difference.
During the course of this show we manage to talk about institutionalization… and drugs… and sandwiches, all without diverging from the usual format of news and features. Frakesy, Darren’s old games and the song challenge are back as always and are joined this week by discussion of game prices.
A few extra notes. Every time I say Acclaim I mean Activision. It is a mistake I used to make when I was thirteen, I do not know why its rematerializing now. Also there is no such thing as morphium, thing my brain created a lovely mix of morphine and opium.
I really want a sandwich.
Enjoy the show.</itunes:summary>

The player guides Tim “The Toolman” Taylor in a quest to find some Binford power tools that have gone missing from the set of Tool Time. The game is broken down into 4 worlds of 4 levels, each world containing a boss level.
It is also worth noting that the game had no manual; its splash screen explained, “Real men don’t need instructions.”
Ultimately, the game has received quite negative reviews despite the show’s popularity. This is most likely because of the strange aspect of Tim Taylor trying to recover tools while fighting dinosaurs, mummies, and robots and lack of an instruction manual. The game failed to sell in large numbers and it is hard to find today.

<itunes:summary>What have you been playing, news and features make up the show this week. Though the last few weeks have been uneventful in terms of new releases we keep playing games and stuff is still happening in the industry.
Fallout 3 – New Vegas, Bioshock 2, Assassins Creed 2 and Dantes Inferno are all games we do not talk about. Instead we focus our attention on Final Fantasy XIII, Wii Motion Plus and a plethora of other juicy topics that sprung to mind. All this before we have a little chat about the direction of the handheld market, and why if iPhones are the future you should just wait and buy one when you get there.
Of course we also have some news on the Street Fighter 4 art book competition, but it may not be what you wanted. Enjoy and remember to leave comments at dofuss.net or on iTunes. Bye!</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Lots of Wii this week. It dominated mine and Darrens gaming time. From Madworld to Bit Trip Beat and on to the Virtual Console (for Darren) it has been by far the most my Wii has been used for over a year.
News also has a heavy Nintendo focus. There is the upcoming Silent Hill re-imagining for Wii, Nintendo putting the kibosh on Tecmo bringing Fatal Frame 3 to the West and wanting to invigorate the Japanese gaming market (assumedly with Wii Music 2) its been a high profile week for the big N. We also have a quick chat about up coming game based movies. All of this is followed by a talk about downloadable content in games with a little help from the boards at uuddlrlrba.co.uk and Darrens old games which this week focuses on Segas fantastic Shinobi series.
Somewhere in all this there is also a competition to win the Street Fighter 20th anniversary art book, hot of the presses straight from Japan (pictured here). Over 300 pages of beautiful Street Fighter promotional and concept art all up for grabs. To be in with a chance of winning simply listen and mail the required information to either me (Alex – alex@dofuss.net) or Darren (darren@dofuss.net).
As always feel free to review us on iTune or to comment on dofuss.net or at uuddlrlrba.
