(A Really Late) Gamescom Catch Up – Hands Off
Coming from the comparatively down and dirty TGS, Gamescom’s attitude to press had a great many advantages. There was one disadvantage however, which was that a great many games I DIDN’T get to play, that I was only allowed to watch. Of course Tokyo had its own fair share of ‘game theatres’ for upcoming games still early in development but with no appointments I rarely saw them.
Metro 2033 (PC) in 250 words.
Metro 2033 reminds me of my first car. An old Ford Escort that by the end of its time with me it had hit a skip, gone through a fence and crashed twice. But like a faithful dog it kept trying to please right up to the end, and I loved it. You see despite the front bumper hanging off, the buckled boot and shattered indicator light, my Escort still worked and despite its many problems so does Metro 2033.
