Truthfully part of me hoped that playing The Ocarina of Time would inspire bile in me, that it would draw from me some hateful vitriol of how Nintendo lazily rehash their old titles, and how this one didn’t even have the decency to pretend to be a new game. I wanted my years of tolerance at re-buying the Kyoto based giant’s classic titles to finally reach breaking point, to snap with an amusing display of anger that this was a shameless cash in on the nostalgia of the weak willed. And I could, I could find all the reasons here to justify the rant, to completely tear this remake asunder but I don’t want to, because it is still wonderful.

 <itunes:summary>
Yes, its late, and we missed February completely, but with most of the regular cast having birthdays last month we can be forgiven right? Well maybe not, but we are back again now with added titillating missile silos. I say ‘we’ are back, but really it is me with a brand new cohort in the form of Scoot, a font of gaming knowledge and a welcome partner in podcasting crime.
So here is the twenty-fourth DoFuss Show, and if you can bear with a couple of small technical issues on Scoot’s end you will be treated to an hour an forty minutes of gaming news and discussion. Focusing our attention on online competitive play and games retail for the most part, we also dip in to some Nintendo conference talk and other news.
I suppose we are reaching a point where I may have to concede that a ‘regular’ schedule might never be possible, but I promise to keep trying and may hopefully even manage to get a three-man show going one day. Until I hope you keep listening to, and enjoying, our sporadic content.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>I have to listen to every show through again while I edit. Because of this I have started to notice a very different tone (and length) depending on my cohort for the episode. My conclusion is that I am failing in my roll as a host. Not that this is necessarily bad, but next time (whoever is with me) I am wrestling back some control and giving this show some consistence.
Maybe.
This episode underwent a number of late changes. Our special guest (Blokey from the UUDD forums) was unfortunately unable to make it at the last moment, so will be joining us next time. Darren was also unavailable so it fell to Dan to pick up the mantel of the second spot.
DAMN YOU BLOKEY!
We touch on numerous topics, courtesy of Dan’s impeccable planning. It was fortunate his outline was so thorough too, otherwise there wouldn’t have been a show because the plan was to revolve everything around forums and Blokey… YOU HEAR THAT BLOKEY.
Ahem… I am sure he will be able make it next time along with Darren, so keep an eye on the site for that. Enjoy the show.</itunes:summary>

 <itunes:summary>Lots of Wii this week. It dominated mine and Darrens gaming time. From Madworld to Bit Trip Beat and on to the Virtual Console (for Darren) it has been by far the most my Wii has been used for over a year.
News also has a heavy Nintendo focus. There is the upcoming Silent Hill re-imagining for Wii, Nintendo putting the kibosh on Tecmo bringing Fatal Frame 3 to the West and wanting to invigorate the Japanese gaming market (assumedly with Wii Music 2) its been a high profile week for the big N. We also have a quick chat about up coming game based movies. All of this is followed by a talk about downloadable content in games with a little help from the boards at uuddlrlrba.co.uk and Darrens old games which this week focuses on Segas fantastic Shinobi series.
Somewhere in all this there is also a competition to win the Street Fighter 20th anniversary art book, hot of the presses straight from Japan (pictured here). Over 300 pages of beautiful Street Fighter promotional and concept art all up for grabs. To be in with a chance of winning simply listen and mail the required information to either me (Alex – alex@dofuss.net) or Darren (darren@dofuss.net).
As always feel free to review us on iTune or to comment on dofuss.net or at uuddlrlrba.

 <itunes:summary>Like my art home work back at high school just getting this one in just in time. After the last rather light podcast we have hit back with a content packed but somewhat undirected episode. So a full month of gaming and news fill the majority of the show.
Darren takes on the iPhone discussion, yet some how manages to keep it retro with Pole Position and Wonder Boy. I try to keep things more current we head back to Resident Evil 5 and rub on a little Madworld. Then we avoid talking about the Watchmen.
News is sprinkled through out. We touch on a number of topics that have been affecting gaming in the UK recently. Then we bitch about Nintendo. Because they deserve it sometimes. We wrap up with the usual Darren’s old games with is a breathless summation of the wonderful Sensible Software.</itunes:summary>

Nintendo recently ducked out of TGS by deciding hold their own press conferences. Bar the announcement of DSi there were a number of interesting announcements for the hardcore. The Nintendo first party classic ‘Punch-Out’ seems to have caused the most fuss. It also seems well suited to the Wii, with the possibility of Wii-motion-plus giving [...]

Mario Galaxy proved they could still deliver the goods for the hardcore, but that was 8 months ago so it falls to Wario Land shake to pick up the torch. It doesn’t.
