The DoFuss Show – I Want a Sandwich.

August 30th, 2009 Posted by Alex Beech

Okay, I have finally taken over the reigns of editing, which is why the latest podcast is a tad late. Think I have it all down though, so here’s hoping you won’t notice much of a difference.

During the course of this show we manage to talk about institutionalization… and drugs… and sandwiches, all without diverging from the usual format of news and features. Frakesy, Darren’s old games and the song challenge are back as always and are joined this week by discussion of game prices.

A few extra notes. Every time I say Acclaim I mean Activision. It is a mistake I used to make when I was thirteen, I do not know why its rematerializing now. Also there is no such thing as morphium, thing my brain created a lovely mix of morphine and opium.

I really want a sandwich.

Enjoy the show.

Errata: The celebrity who got busted is named Noriko Sakai. “Kakuseizai” is the Japanese word for stimulants which is what she was arrested for.

Love the idea of Darren attempting the opposite of a retro game challenge. Is that a “nowtro” game challenge? How can I be a part of this?

You can adjudicate and ensure my treatment doesn’t break any human rights laws… I’m scared.

Alex, I sound like I’m speaking through a wet towel in this episode, a new recording method is called for. Maybe I should just fly out for every show, we must be making enough money from this now right?

Good thing we didn’t buy sound recorder then!

Feitclub, I knew the name looked… wrong. Last time I trust that blog, probably the same site the thought a popular drug in Japan was Shabu Shabu.

For the record, I call it an S.N.E.S. and I can’t imagine calling it a “snes” so we’re on opposite sides of that war.

Alex, I wish I could tell you where to get a good sandwich but we are shit out of luck in this country. Your best bet is, honestly, Subway.

    Its a SNES (pronounced “SNEZ”).

Also, being over 25 and never having played Theme Hospital makes you both bitches. Either you pirate it or get it from the PSN Store for like £5. Awesome game is awesome.
