The combat is much deeper than you may initially think.
The combat is simple but once you get in to the complexities it opens up. You find yourself planning attacks more efficiently to limit the number of times you die. Fortunately as you play the God Baldur you are instantly resurrected thanks to the Valkyrie.
To maximize strength there isn’t just the combat to master. The rune system and skill trees also need extensive tweaking. In truth most will not look beyond getting the highest numbers on stats, ignoring the rock, paper, scissors mechanic, but its nice to have it there.
